Thank you for this, it's a very insightful post.
I agree that we should be asking these questions of men, and I am glad that you were able to articulate what has been making me uncomfortable about Palin.

much hate toward Palin, some of it deserved, most of it desperate slander. when i say desperate, its just absolutely silly how much the left wing media is on that girl. ive seen some absolutely silly stories out there. people can believe what they want to believe i guess, but its irresponsible to spin things they way they are being spun. and its condoned with a sly grin a wink by the DNC. Obama will probably win, with or without the hate tactics. Im not voting for the best white man in the race, Obama. (his mom is white). I had a Hillary vote or no vote. Screw Oprah. karma is going to catch up to the media some day soon, just like it caught up to them trying to predict election wins before the polls closed in the past two elections. this has been the dirtiest bit of campaigning from both sides ive ever seen. God i hate politics.

real issue is our economy and the failing of our banking system. alot of blame to go around, both the last two administrations for sure, and a Mr. Alan Greenspan. the election of our next president wont save us, its going to have to depend on many people working together to enact banking reform. otherwise we will all be Mad Maxing it in 10 years.
